Start another Band?
You choose to rename the band The Spandettes. You can tell this is the beginning of something really special. You spend the next few years writing and performing with a full 10-piece band. By 2014 you’ve recorded your first full-length album “Spandex Effect”. To your surprise, it becomes a hit in Japan! The single “Sweet and Saccharine” spent 5 weeks on the Tokyo J-Wave top 40 as well as The Tokyo Top 100 list. They want more music, so you, Alex, and Maggie start writing another album.
Around the same time in 2010, you meet another passionate musician, John Ophek, who shares your love of Motown and Soul music. You form an 11-piece wedding band with a full horn section and two other singers. In 2014 you start writing original songs with John and the pianist Craig Clemmens. The songs are frickin’ bops. You crowdfunded the money to record a full-length album, plus two more singles. Do you record a digital or analog album?
