Make some More Albums
You record an entire album with full analog technology with the Intentions and release it in the summer of 2014. The album is simply called “The Intentions!”. The experience of recording to tape changes your relationship with production and the music industry in general. From pre-production to the warmth of the sound quality to the satisfaction of placing your finished LP on your record player for the first time. The whole thing was a life-changing experience. You release the album to a packed Lee’s Palace on June 7th, 2014.
All the while you’re busy with The Spandettes! You’re doing some backup singing for Leah Allyce Canali (Which earned you a shout-out from Ru Paul!) You’re also in the middle of making a second album with the Spandettes! You received a FACTOR grant to make this album, plus funds from a Japanese label, P-Vine, that want to release and distribute your music to a Japanese audience! While this is a really exciting time in your life, you’re spending a lot of time and money to make the music that you love. What do you do in the meantime to make a living?
