Classical or Contemporary?

Great choice! Gappy teeth be damned!!

Even though your family moves every three or four years, you find new singing coaches, teachers, and programs in every city and country you move to! You’ve found your passion! The year is 2006 and you’re living in Cairo, Egypt, it’s your last year of high school. You’re attending Cairo American College and you’ve done all the school musicals, choirs, and plays, heck, you even won the Battle of the Bands with your vocal trio “March to June” (shout out to Yasmine and Malory!) Long story short, you’re a super-music-nerd. You’re enrolled in the International Baccalaureate Music Program and the International Honour Choir (travelling to Berlin, Brussels). You also auditioned for and were accepted to the prestigious Interlochen Academy for the Arts. (Michigan USA). You’ve been training classically for the last three years, but you LOVE singing pop, rock, and soul music. You have to make a choice about your musical future. Your parents are insisting that you get a degree. Do you continue to study classical music or go to Humber College which offers a contemporary jazz degree?
