Live Performances & New Ventures
Of course, you went to Japan! It was an amazing experience! You put on a heck of a show to a full house and got to meet your dedicated fans! You met DJs and other musicians with whom you collaborated over the course of the next few years. You even learned that you have not one, but two cover bands based out of Tokyo! Your songs are used to this day in Japanese commercials, dance competitions, and shows! You Alex and Maggie of The Spandettes started your own label “Brave new Records”. You learned about the publishing industry, became a sub-publisher for the Japanese label P-Vine and began representing other bands based out of Toronto.
By 2017 you were performing with the Intentions on a regular basis on huge stages and events around Toronto. You managed the band, facilitated the admin, and sang lead vocals. In 2018 you and the Spandettes recorded a new album “The Spandettes Live at 3030”. You were the COO of a small label. Your student roster is piling up! Everything is coming up Milhouse.
You began to write songs for your solo project and released a series of 5 songs: “Open Sea”, “Headlines”, “Love is Choas”*, “Been Too Long”, and “I’m All Yours”. *Love is Chaos was released under the pseudonym, Elsy.
In 2019 you take a HUGE new step. You quit your teaching job and start your own coaching and production company. You build your business from home for the first year.
In March 2020, you opened your very own music studio. You called it Wedgwood Studio, named after your mother’s and your shared middle name.
But something else happened in March 2020, do you remember what that was?
